Simon Lawson

Simon Lawson – Deputy Chair (Master Science Geology – University of Auckland)

Mr Lawson is a seasoned geoscientist with over 16 years of operational experience across multiple commodities and jurisdictions. He was a founding member of Northern Star Resources (ASX: NST), where over a six-year period, he played a pivotal role in transforming a small Western Australian gold mine into a multi-billion-dollar global gold mining powerhouse.

Before joining Ramelius Resources, Mr Lawson served as Managing Director and Executive Chair of Spartan Resources. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director of Firefly Resources, a junior exploration company that merged with Spartan in November 2021.

Mr Lawson brings substantial operational management and technical expertise to the Board of Ramelius, underpinned by a proven track record of driving growth, enhancing productivity, and delivering shareholder value in the mining sector.
