2020/21 Xmas Vacation Job Opportunities – Ramelius Resources

Ramelius Resources is a successful ASX200 listed gold producer with operations based in Western Australia. These include the Edna May, Marda, Vivien and Mt Magnet operations, which are to be joined by our recent Tampia and Penny acquisitions. Ramelius Resources is a stable industry performer with consistent production growth that focuses on delivering superior returns for stakeholders.

Ramelius Resources are currently seeking university students to fill vacation positions across our business between December to February. To apply you must be studying one of the following disciplines:

  • Mine Engineering
  • Geology
  • Surveying
  • Metallurgy

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who want to put their university studies into practice at one of our Western Australian operations.

Role details

Mine Engineering Vacation Student role, reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer on site, will give you experience in practical Mine Engineering tasks. These will include either underground/open pit operating or related project work. This will be site specific and task allocation dependent on operational requirements.

Geology Vacation Student role, reporting to the Senior Geologist on site, will give you experience in practical geological tasks. These will include core/chip logging, sampling and exposure to drilling. Dependent on organisational requirements, you will be positioned in either an open pit, underground or exploration team.

Surveying Vacation Student role, reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor on site, will give you experience in practical surveying tasks in either the open pit or underground operating environment.

Metallurgy Vacation Student role, reporting to the Mill Metallurgist on site, will give you exposure to CIL milling and production.


  • Currently studying a tertiary qualification in a mining-related discipline, as above.
  • Previous vacation work and site experience is desired but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • C Class Drivers licence
