The Ramelius Board has approved a company-wide Tax Policy and Tax Control Framework, as well as a Financial Management Policy which outlines how the Company plans, records, analyses and reports financial and non-financial data. Collectively, these policies apply to directors, employees and contractors. The Tax policies are for internal use only and are not publicly available. The Tax policies requires Ramelius to act with honesty, fairness, transparency, respect, and to not enter into transactions where they lack commercial substance. The Tax policies also requires Ramelius to operate within the ‘spirit’ as well as the letter of the law, and to not establish entities or legal structures, including their use in tax havens, without sound non-tax commercial purpose and rationale. Ramelius must not enter tax avoidance schemes and must remain tax complaint in all of the jurisdictions it operates in.

The Company’s internal Finance Standard describes the mandatory steps to be undertaken in Financial Management. Ramelius has established a Community Stakeholder Management Plan and Community Consultation Policy to ensure a systematic, company-wide approach to incorporating the interests of affected communities into our decision-making processes. These initiatives enable us to monitor and respond to grievances effectively while keeping key stakeholders informed of our activities. Our plan outlines a comprehensive management approach to building and maintaining positive, long-term relationships with local communities.

Ramelius recognises that financial and in-kind contributions make a significant impact in supporting the prosperity of its surrounding communities. Community investments are carefully considered to ensure they address community needs, create positive change, as well as aligning with its own business priorities. We consider local and regional communities to be those that fall within the 50km radius of our mines and projects.

Ramelius introduced Community Benefit Funds within the townships of Mount Magnet, Westonia, and Narembeen. Community development programs are monitored and assessed, via regular meetings held by a Representative of Ramelius, the Shire, and a local community representative. Subsequent to receiving funding applications, thorough discussions among all parties take place to determine the most effective initiatives for enduring community benefits.

We are committed to involving local and First Nations Peoples communities in the areas in which we operate in planning and decision-making and ensuring accountability through effective communication and consultation strategies.

More information on community initiatives and the groups Ramelius supports can be found within the Company’s annual Sustainability Reports.

Ramelius values communities of First Nations Peoples and is committed to engaging with respect and consideration for the culture, traditions, and cultural landmarks of these communities. As defined in the Company’s First Nations Peoples Policy, we engage with representatives of First Nations Peoples to build stronger communication channels, aiming to understand their views and beliefs better. Ramelius makes sure that employees and contractors respect culturally significant locations and acknowledge the land’s significance to First Nations Peoples. We are dedicated to mitigating any unexpected impacts on First Nations communities, lands, cultures, traditions, and cultural sites. We actively engage and consult with various Native Title groups when we undertake heritage surveys with traditional owners. These surveys are essential for areas where we plan to conduct exploration and mining activities. Currently, we are collaborating with Kakarra Aboriginal Corporation to work towards a Native Title Agreement for future mining at the Rebecca and Roe Gold Projects. Additionally, we engage with the Badimia Land Aboriginal Corporation (BLAC) to support our heritage surveys .

Making a concrete impact on the social, economic, and institutional advancement of these communities, Ramelius strives to offer opportunities that foster First Nations business development, training, education, and employment. Additionally, Ramelius provides financial and in-kind support for local economic, social, and cultural activities.
