Edna May Mine
Located near the Wheatbelt town of Westonia in Western Australia, the Edna May Gold Mine was acquired by Ramelius in October 2017 from Evolution Mining Ltd. The operation initially functioned as an open pit before successfully transitioning to underground mining, which concluded in May 2024. Following the cessation of underground operations, processing continued using stockpiles from satellite operations at Marda, Symes and Tampia until April 2025, when the site was placed on care and maintenance.
Edna May is a large-scale, granitoid-hosted stockwork system, with two high-grade quartz lodes mined underground within the broader orebody.
The acquisition was completed for $40M upfront cash plus future royalty payments capped at $50M, bringing the total consideration to $90M. As of the March 2025 quarter, Ramelius has paid $18 million in royalties, taking the total amount paid to $58M.
Under Ramelius ownership, Edna May has produced 376,000 ounces of gold and generated $167 million in free cash flow.
A strategic review of Edna May is currently underway with the appointment of Azure Capital as advisor.Â
