Ramelius Resources Limited was listed on the ASX in March 2003 to explore gold and nickel projects Goldfields of Western Australia.
The Company discovered the Wattle Dam Gold Mine in 2005 and began mining the deposit in March 2006. In 2007 the Company purchased the Burbanks milling facility for $2.8 million to treat the high grade Wattle Dam ore.
For the year ending 30 June 2007, the Company produced its maiden net profit of $6.8 million on revenue of $14.8 million. The Company is aiming to establish its Wattle Dam Gold Mine as a high grade underground mine by the end of 2008; and is actively exploring for further gold and nickel deposits in the Spargoville project area.
